Club Fees and Refunds
A guide to the different charges you might see from your club on PlayerKit, and how refunds work for each.
WHAT YOU MIGHT SEE
Kinds of charges
- Season Fee — your club's cost to play for the season.
- Late Fee — added when a season fee isn't paid by the club's deadline.
- Offseason Fee — a charge outside the regular season (e.g. offseason training).
- Deposit — held against equipment your club issues, and marked refundable from the moment it's charged.
- Store purchases — anything bought directly from your club's store.
DEPOSITS
Which deposits come back, and when
A deposit is the one charge type that's always refundable — it's held, not spent. It's tied to the equipment it was charged for, so it comes back when that equipment is returned in good condition. See Returning Equipment for how a return is confirmed. Season, late, and offseason fees are not held in the same way — they're your club's payment for the season itself.
A club's fees and refunds are the club's decision. PlayerKit processes the payment on your club's behalf, but we can't change an amount, waive a fee, or issue a refund ourselves — that authority belongs to your club. If you have a question about a charge, your club is who to ask.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Troubleshooting
I don't recognize a charge, or think it's wrong.
Contact your club directly — they set the amount and can explain what it's for. PlayerKit only processes the payment; we don't set or approve the charge itself.
I want a refund.
Ask your club. Refunds for season, late, and offseason fees, and for store purchases, are entirely your club's call. The one exception is a deposit, which is designed to come back to you once the equipment it covers is returned.
I returned my equipment — where's my deposit?
First confirm the return itself went through — check the item's status in your account (see Returning Equipment). If it shows Returned and you still don't see your deposit, follow up with your club.
Where do I see my full payment history?
From your account, go to Purchases to see everything you've paid for, with status and receipts.
