Report Found Gear
Found a piece of team equipment with a PlayerKit tag on it? Here's how to report it — no account needed.
Thanks for helping. You don't need an account, and you won't see who the item belongs to — that's by design, to keep everyone's information private. Reporting it is enough to help it find its way back.
THREE STEPS
How to report it
The scan page after tapping "Report found" — contact info and message are both optional.
Your report doesn't tell you — or anyone else — who the item belongs to. It notifies the team, and it's up to them to reach out if you've left a way to get in touch.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT
Getting it back to the team
Once you send a report, the team is notified that their item was found. If your club has turned on a public return page for this tag, it may show general details like the team name or a drop-off location — never a player's name or contact information. From there, it's up to the team to arrange getting it back.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Troubleshooting
Do I need to sign in or create an account?
No. Reporting a found item never requires an account. If you happen to have one and you're signed in, you may see a little more detail, but it's never required.
The page says the tag is "protected or unavailable" — is that a problem?
No, that's expected. It just means the owner's information is kept private. You can still report the item as found from that same page.
I don't want to leave any contact information — is that okay?
Yes. Choose I'd rather not say and send the report with or without a message. The team will still be notified that their item was found.
The link or code doesn't work at all.
Double-check the code printed on the tag and try typing it in at support.playerkit.app/scan directly. If it still doesn't work, the tag may be damaged or from a different system — there's no need to do anything further.
