Signing In to PlayerKit on the Mobile App

Already have a PlayerKit account? Here's how to sign into it from the PlayerKit mobile app — the default passwordless code, the password fallback, and what happens if your account has two-step verification turned on.

Before you start: you'll need a PlayerKit account already set up — created by joining a club, linking a player, or registering — and the PlayerKit app installed on your phone. If you don't have an account yet, see Creating vs. Joining a PlayerKit Account and Join a Club first — both are done on the web.

Don't tap "Create account." On the app's opening screen, "Create account" starts a brand-new club with you as its owner — it's not how you sign into a club you've already joined. If your club sent you an invite, or you're a parent/guardian, you want Sign in instead.

Step by step

Signing in on your phone

Step 1

Open the PlayerKit app. On the opening screen, tap Sign in.

Step 2

By default you don't need a password: enter your email and tap Email me a code. PlayerKit sends a 6-digit code to that email — it never asks for this code by phone, email, or text, so ignore anyone who does.

Step 3

Check your email, enter the 6-digit code, and tap Sign in. The code expires after a few minutes — if it's timed out, tap Send a new code for a fresh one.

Step 4

Prefer your password instead? From the sign-in screen, tap Use a password instead, then enter your email and password and tap Sign in.

Step 5

If your account has two-step verification turned on, you'll land on one more screen after your code or password: enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app and tap Verify. Turn on Remember this device for 30 days to skip this step next time on the same phone. Lost access to your authenticator? Tap Use a recovery code instead.

Step 6

You're in. The app opens straight to your home tab — your schedule, requirements, and everything else tied to your account.

If you have two-step verification turned on and you sign in with the emailed code (not your password), you'll go through two separate 6-digit codes back to back: first the sign-in code from your email, then the authenticator code on the verification screen. That's expected — they're two different checks, not a repeat of the same one.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Troubleshooting

It says my email and password don't match.

For your security, PlayerKit shows the same message whether the email or the password is the problem, without saying which. Double check both, or switch to Email me a code instead, which doesn't need a password at all.

I forgot my password.

Password resets happen on the web, not in the app. Go to Resetting Your PlayerKit Password from a browser, or simply sign into the app with Email me a code instead — no password needed.

It says my email isn't verified yet.

Finish verifying your email on the web first, then come back and sign in on the app.

It's telling me to wait — "too many attempts."

A short, temporary limit after several failed tries. Wait about a minute and try again.

The app is asking me for my name.

This only appears the first time a device verifies a brand-new account — if you've signed in before, you won't see it. If it shows up unexpectedly, double-check you typed your usual email correctly; a typo can land on an email PlayerKit has never seen before.
